2 BD/2 B Monument Village Apartment - Looking for 1 Roommate
Hi my name is Bella and I live in Monument Village. I am a third-year Ph.D. student at UMD studying Developmental Psychology. When not working on research, I like to knit, swim, and cook. I am looking for a non-smoking, tidy roommate to take over my... roommate's lease. Please note I am also considering moving to D.C, although it would be easiest for me to stay here & I am leaning towards that.
The unit is a 2 bedroom with 2 bathrooms ensuite (private bathrooms) and is single-gendered. The unit would be available in July (move-in date flexible); 12 month lease only. My old roommate and I split the rent based on square footage of the rooms such that I was paying 52.6% of the rent and she was paying 47.4% ($1314.40/mo) although I am willing to negotiate & I anticipate the rent to increase a little with renewal (last renewal it was an increase of $60/month).
Your bedroom would be the first one shown in the video.
Roommate Requirements
- Must make enough monthly income to qualify to take over lease or have guarantor/co-signer - Non-smoker - Cats ok, no dogs please & you would be responsible for pet rent/fees - Extremely neat; I prefer to keep common spaces tidy and kitchen clean. - No large/loud parties; I occasionally host people and expect you will too, but a heads up on both ends preferred & nothing too crazy
Other things to note - I do not own a TV, and don't plan on getting one (but you can ofc) - The building is along the UMD 128 shuttle bus line - it stops directly in front of the building! - Management is pretty good & maintenance responds quickly - This building is pet-friendly and has a dog park so expect barking
