2BR/1BA Furnished Guest Suite Minutes from UMD
Come enjoy our guest suite located in a lush residential neighborhood a mile from the UMD. The College Park Woods Connector Trailhead is just around the corner from our house. The trail winds along the eastern edge of the UMD campus via the Paint... Branch Trail and is used by students daily. Other nearby transportation options include the Shuttle-UM, e-scooters, and WMATA metro. We also provide bikes for guests. Our neighborhood features a park with game courts, exercise equipment, and a playground.
The space is in the basement of a single-family home and has its own private entrance. The guest suite includes two bedrooms, a living room, and a full bathroom. There is also a kitchenette, a shared laundry area, and a patio. We have a driveway and there is free street parking in front of the house. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has a full bed. Both bedrooms include a spacious closet and dedicated workspace with a computer monitor. The living room has modern seating and natural lighting. The bathroom has a bidet and standing shower. The kitchenette is fully stocked with various amenities including an induction cooktop, stainless steel cookware, filtered water, and a dining table. The laundry area includes detergent, wool dryer balls, mesh laundry bags, and a garment steamer. The patio has a picnic table and views of our rain garden with native plants. Temperature is set at 70°F/21°C with a tower fan/heater provided in each bedroom for additional comfort. All wall vents can be opened or closed.
The private entrance to the suite is located at the back of the home. Both bedroom doors can be locked and two sets of entrance and bedroom keys are provided. The kitchenette and shared laundry area are accessible through a common hallway that connects to the suite (see floor plan photo). All amenities in these spaces are for guest use unless indicated otherwise (with lock or label). Occasionally, we may enter the common hallway from upstairs to do laundry or retrieve items from storage. However, rest assured we will never enter the suite during your stay. For your additional privacy and security, the door between the suite and the common hallway can be locked from inside the suite.
