Cozy Basement Studio, Steps from Sligo Creek Parkway, 495, Metro Redline, Bus
The basement studio is located less than a block from Sligo Creek Parkway with miles of wooded trails with parks, tennis courts, and destinations such as Brookside Gardens, Lake Artemisia, and Rock Creek Parkway. Downtown Silver Spring (Whole Foods,... CVS, Saturday Farmer’s market, Veterans Plaza and other shops and restaurants (Zinnias); the Metro (Red Line) to DC all within 5-minute bike ride; the entrance to 495 is a mile away; the city bus stop is half a block.
The space consists of a large rectangular room (20 X12) separated by a folding door from an area with a kitchenette (no stove) (sink, Air fryer with toaster oven/grill, refrigerator and sink) and private tiled bath. Mirrors on one wall and a large egress window make the space feel larger and together with Pergo floors make the space warm and cozy. There is a washer and dryer in a separate room in the basement, which we would share.
The unit is furnished with a full bed, side table, overstuffed chair, lamp, wooden table, and other furniture that you can use (or not) if needed. Use of upstairs kitchen and common spaces, including the lovely deck is negotiable. Rent includes high speed internet access. We’d split water and electric utilities.
Though we love animals, due to allergies we can't have any pets in the house. No smoking.
