Location: Best part. Except by a weed shop and you will get bothered by a homeless person.
Grocery: Had promise for a nearby Safeway but it's not great.
Fees: parking, $200+ (cars still get stolen from garage)
Concierge: The job is not glamorous -- I get it. But I've never had ruder folks at a concierge before.
Cost: expensive. Other places are comparable for a similar price.
Mail: Have lost two expensive packages.
Maintenance: Probably the worst part. We scheduled about 3 different times for... a dryer vent cleaning. No one showed up any of the times.

Positives out of the way first: Great restaurants nearby... The pool is nice when it's not crowded... it's an updated building...that's it.
If you are currently a Georgetown Law student who is looking for a place that feels like an undergrad dorm filled with all of your classmates, then welcome, you've found your new home.
You can expect your neighbors to wake you up at all hours of the night (weeknights, weekends, doesn't matter). They could be having a party in the apartment, they might be... going out to a bar, or they might be coming home from one. Either way, they do not care about you or your sanity. They will scream in the hallways, they will scream in the apartment. The walls are extremely thin so don't worry, you'll hear them. In a world where many adults are having to actually work at home, your neighbors truly do not care and they will make your days and nights a living nightmare. Call in a noise complaint, bang on the wall at 2am, it doesn't really matter. They'll stop for a moment and then just get started up again later that night, the next day, a few days later. It will happen again.
But hey, if you're someone who doesn't care about others and wants to pretend they're still 19, then the Lydian truly is a great place for you. Enjoy it and continue to ruin it for everyone else.
