Join this Co-Living House of like-minded people who are engaged, social, relaxed, don’t take ourselves too seriously, considerate, trusting, trustworthy, have good interpersonal skills, get along with others, like to laugh - sometimes at themselves, have no issues if asked to share, and appreciate the co-living vibe. No smokers, no pets. Sorry! Also, we follow the rule of no outside shoes inside the house; socks or house shoes are ok. This keeps the wood floors clean. Also, the most important rule for the house is that we like to keep the house clean and organized so we can have friends over without being concerned that a housemate’s stuff is all over the living room.

There is currently one person in the main house who is in his mid-20s:
• A policy analyst working in education who just finished graudate school. [he/him]
• The other housemates are moving out to live in a high-rise apartment in the suburbs, to be closer to work, or going to graduate school.

As a heads up, we also have a housemate who lives in the lower-level basement unit who is gearing up to be working on a gubernatorial campaign, and is very kind, respectful, and friendly. [he/him]

There are a few bedrooms currently available right now. Only one person per bedroom per the Basic Business License for this house.

Your Home:
The house is located on a tree-lined street on Ogden Street between 14th and 16th Streets within the urban neighborhood of Columbia Heights. Completely remodeled with hardwood floors and an open concept living area. The kitchen opens into a spacious living room. The kitchen has beautiful granite countertops. The house is freshly painted throughout. There are brand new major appliances (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and washer and dryer), new bath fixtures to include rainfall shower heads, and new lighting throughout the house. Two brand new HVAC units were installed in June.

Common areas furnished with two sofas, dining table with chairs, coffee table. All brand new. The picture of the aero bed in the bedroom is for display purposes only. It is to show how a queen size bed looks like in the room.

Your Space:

Your room is newly remodeled and move-in ready. It can fit a queen size bed, desk, chair, and a small dresser. Gone are the days of being last in line to shower because with this room, you mostly have the bathroom for your own use. The room is not furnished; there is no furniture included in the rent.

Pricing:
• Rent: $975/month per bedroom
• Security deposit of one month’s rent
• Utilities (gas, electricity, water, cable, internet) not included: likely to be between $100 - $150 /month per person. Better to overestimate the utilities, so no surprises. Verizon FIOS internet (1Gig) installed.
• Parking in back carport is $40/month per car. Enough space for two cars.

Lease Period:
• Flexible start date with preference by Aug 1, 2025. End date of May 31, 2026. All housemates are on one lease.
