Summer Rental-Private Bed/Bath/Office/Off-Street Parking in Peaceful Tree-Lined Neighborhood House (Shared Housing)

Come stay with me, single mom (42), my daughter (6.5), and our sweet cat, Dahlia, for the summer in our lovely mid-century home in quiet, tree-filled Kemp Mill neighborhood, located about 25 min from College Park and 15 min from the Silver Spring... Metro.

About the space: I am offering a spacious, sunny bedroom with private bath along with optional exclusive use of a private office space. Bedroom can be furnished with a full-sized bed if needed, and comes with a TV, dresser and built in closet with additional storage space. Rent includes all utilities plus an off-street parking space. You will have use of all common areas including the yoga/gym area (featuring a new Peloton which you are welcome to use), laundry room, kitchen/dining room, and a chill screened porch out back, perfect for summer evenings.

**Please note that the pics show the room as it looks right now, with my things in there. I am in the process of moving them out and furnishing the room now, and will repost in a couple of days with the final set-up. Furnishings will include a rug, desk and chair, full-sized bed and mattress with under-bed storage and the low bureau under the TV. I can provide sheets and towels as well. The office is the smaller unfurnished room pictured. If you would like to make use of it, I can provide a desk, chair and bookshelf and lamp and some plants. It gets a lot of great natural light through the big window.

About us: I work from home - office in the basement so I'm here most of the time. My daughter splits her time between our house and her dad's place. When she is here we have our routines and would give you lots of privacy, but of course she will be curious to get to know you. Our ideal roommate would be someone who is vegetarian or pescatarian, likes cats (not allergic), enjoys quiet living - on the weekends when we are not outdoors we love doing crafts and watching movies and reading. We would love to find someone who enjoys their privacy but also wouldn't mind hanging out with us sometimes. I am not looking for supplementary child care - just want to make that very clear-but our roommate definitely needs to be cool with joyful little kid energy in the home and ok with recieving lots of home-made gifts (she really loves crafts).

It is important to us that our roommate be conscientious about cleaning up after herself. I'll do a deep clean of all common areas every couple of weeks but would ask that you be responsible for keeping the spaces you rent neat. We would ask you to please take no food upstairs/outside of kitchen/dining/back porch dining area as this could invite pests.

Quiet Hours - We are serious about our sleep and hope that our roommate could respect quiet hours between 9pm-7am on weekdays, 10pm-8am on the weekends.

No male visitors or any overnight guests -for everyone's safety and comfort we will also abide by the same expectation.

About the neighborhood- Kemp Mill is a beautiful neighborhood, located just between Silver Spring and Wheaton. It is tree-lined and very walkable, with nearby trail access. There is a grocery store and CVS within walking distance, and more grocery/food options just a short drive away in Four Corners. The neighborhood has a tucked-away feel, like living in a forest. We see lots of deer, bunnies, and foxes in the backyard. It's a really special, peaceful place.
