Tempted to sell my home!!

Don't worry I won't actually sell my home but this recent visit to Alloy by Alta was definitely tempting! I swung by sometime in October just to poke around and see what the property was looking like. The leasing team was very nice and did a great job of painting the vision even though the building was still under heavy construction. The 3 apartments that I was able to look like were really nice and embodied luxury. The featured really high ceilings, beautiful updated appliances, the kitchens were to die for as was the openness of the space. I was able to go in the space last week and the updates were to die for!! The clubhouse and amenity spaces are beautiful and worth the move alone! I was able to tour some of their larger 2 and 3 bedroom units and lets just say that I envy the people who'll be living here!!

Thank you for this great review! If you're ever in the market for an apt definitely keep Alloy on your mind we'd love to have you as a resident.

I'm new to this area, and I wasn't really sure about the renting process quite yet. I got to meet with Fatima, and she was excellent! I'm still in the process of making final decisions, but i really appreciated her help through all this. It was refreshing to have someone be so helpful!

So happy to have made the move to Alloy! This is a new building so there are definitely some growing pains however Shary has taken care of any concern within 24 hrs or less. I love the location and proximity to DC, the amenities and most importantly my apartment. If you can deal with living in close proximity to students then I 100% recommend the Alloy.

Perfect for Photoshoots!

Alloy has been the backdrop of most of my summer Instagram pics! The amenities definitely have the loo and feel of a vacation especially the pool area with the grills. I was looking for a live, play, work vibe and definitely found it at Alloy. I don't get to use to the co-working space as much as I'd like since it seems like the same few people are always in the work suites or conference room but that gives me an excuse to actually leave the building given that I do all my entertaining here. I worked with Shary throughout my leasing and move-in process and she definitely takes the sweat out of moving, she personalized my tour by highlighting all the spaces and how they fit the live, play vibe I was looking for and answered every question I had. 10/10 would choose Alloy again!

Nice place to live but not perfect

The location is great--about a 25 min walk to the metro, connected to the MD trail system, and within walking distance of a handful of pretty great restaurants and Lidl. Close to UMD campus if you are a student. The building itself is really nice and everything in the apartments are new. The common area and study rooms are very nice, although they do get crowded. Maintenance is very efficient. Still, there are a few things not to love: -It's expensive. You pay about the same for a 1-bedroom as you'd pay for a 2-bedroom at one of the other luxury apartments down the street. Plus above average fees for parking and utilities. -With a 24-hour McDonald's across the street, a police station, and the college campus nearby, it can be pretty noisy at night. -The mail system Butterfly FX was advertised as very convenient but in fact it's so disorganized in the package room that we often cannot find our packages or sometimes they simply don't show up until several days later. -The parking spots in the garage, which you pay $50-75 extra for, are supposed to keep your car safe. But the gates are often inexplicably left open and we have had people go through our cars and steal stuff when we forgot to lock the door. -The elevators are frequently out of order. Also, the "freight elevator" that you reserve for moving in is not actually a freight elevator. It functions like a normal elevator and other residents will be using it when you're trying to move your stuff in. -The pool is really only open for 3 months out of the year from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Still overall, this is a great place to live if you're willing to pay the premium for it, particularly for the location.
