I am subleasing my private bedroom and bathroom in a fully furnished 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom apartment at The Varsity located at 8150 Baltimore Avenue, College Park, MD 20740. This sublease is available for the Spring 2026 semester (January 2026... through June 2026) for students who need housing for that term without committing to a full year-long lease. Rent is $1,249 per month, and all major utilities, including high-speed internet, water, sewer, trash, electricity, and cable are included.
The apartment offers a modern layout with a private, lockable bedroom and en-suite bathroom, fully furnished with a bed, dresser, desk, and chair. The shared living space includes a living room with comfortable seating, a dining area, and a kitchen outfitted with stainless steel appliances. There is in-unit washer and dryer.
As a resident, you’ll have full access to The Varsity’s amenities. There are multiple study lounges, computer labs, and group study rooms available for coursework, while a 24-hour fitness center with both cardio and strength equipment. I currently live with two other girls who are also students at UMD. They are both very friendly, respectful, and focused on their schoolwork, and they keep to themselves but are always open to socializing if you’d like. They often use the common area to watch TV or hang out with friends, and we have an easy “ask first” policy when it comes to having a few people over—which has never been an issue. For food, we each have our own space for our personal preferences, but we also share essentials and simply replace them if they run out. We keep the kitchen clean by washing pots and pans after use, while everything else can go in the dishwasher, and we take turns deep cleaning the common area every 2.5–3 weeks.
