Beautiful and Chill Mount Rainier houseshare - easy access to UMD and DC
Beautiful and spacious houseshare currently open for a short-term housemate (3-6 months) with the potential for longer-term if circumstances and fit support. Ideal for a visiting faculty member or graduate student. LGBTQ and non-citizen friendly... household.
Mount Rainier is a diverse, charming neighborhood with easy bus access to both UMD/Hyattsville and DC. Neighborhood gems include Joe's Movement Emporium, artist studios, Glut Coop grocery, Saturday farmers market, nearby bike paths, hair shops and restaurants and more.
The house is a large, early 1900s home in a beautiful setting with a lot of natural light and plant life around. There is a large private backyard, back porch, and large front wrap-around porch. You would have your own room, lightly furnished, and can use the sun room for a second work space as needed. The house is spacious with a shared kitchen, dining room, living room, and two bathrooms - one main and one half bath. There is an unfinished basement and partial attic for additional storage. There is also a piano, if you play.
You would be sharing the house with the current resident, a 40-year-old community-minded professional female who works from home and has a generally quiet lifestyle of early nights and early mornings. Potlucks, game nights, community sings are often hosted.
"Fit" is important - a conversation and ideally a site visit (virtual can be arranged if required) will be requested before confirmation.
Rent may be negotiable; utilities are shared.
